Like many of the questions we have on this show this question came from me. Moving to the Mac a few years back I was flummoxed by the fact that I couldn't right click in a folder and create a new text file. This is something I did all the time in Windows and it made me nuts that I couldn't do it on the Mac.
I looked for various solutions. I found half way solutions that involve using scripting and automation and none of them seem to work for me. Recently I came across an application called New File Menu. Will have a link to it on our website. Using that application in one tiny step that is required for set up involving enabling it to interact with Finder.
